Multifunctional Exercises
M2 - Standing Forward Lunge with Straight Arm Trunk Rotation
Exercise Description:
Lunge Crossover with Weights
Classification:
Core Stabilization, Upper Body
Instruction:
Starting from a stationary lunge position (split squat), keep the arms extended to the front of the body, grasping onto the power weight balls. Bending through the back knee, flex into the lunge, while crossing the arms to the hip of the forward leg. Arms remain rigid throughout the movement. Return to the starting position. Be sure that the forward knee stays above your forward heel continually, and try to twist on an axis rather than bend the torso in the arm crossover. Complete the exercise on both sides.
