Success Story: Elisa
I currently attend Vimy Ridge School and in September I will begin grade nine. I had done group fitness classes before and I enjoyed the structure of having a fitness schedule; however, the "group" part was the aspect I was not too fond of. When I heard about one-on-one training I felt as though this might be a better way to achieve my fitness goals.
I started working out at Defining Eve back in early November 2005 and I was paired up with my trainer, who has made fitness-training fun. I began working out with a few main goals in mind: to be stronger, fitter, and more toned. I also ski race in the winter and I needed improve my agility and leg strength. As time went by I found my endurance increased and even a few weeks after starting the training, I already could already feel the difference. The program that my trainer put together for me has helped me in my races. I started to become faster on the hill, and noticed that my technique had greatly improved.
It can be challenging balancing out school and exercise, but there is a way. We all run busy lives, whether it be work, school or looking after the kids. What's an hour once or twice a week; it is important to devote some time to you. I always look forward to my fitness session even though I sometimes complain. My trainer knows how to motivate me and keep me going. She'll listen to my complaining and still make me do that last push-up. I have continued to train at Defining Eve in the summer and plan on staying there for the upcoming school year.
My advice to you is that you should be consistent and make an effort to be healthy, eat right and enjoy yourself! Oh and one more thing- get your mom to pay for the fitness training.
