Success Story: Jennifer
I started working with a personal trainer at the Defining Eve studio in September 2004. My husband and I were hoping to get pregnant in the early part of 2005 and I was aware of the potential struggle ahead of me. I’ve heard of so many women gaining so much weight- I want to be a fit mom and I plan to return to my pre-pregnancy weight.
I decided that I needed to have an exercise routine prior to getting pregnant. Also, I had found that over the last three or four years I had put on a few pounds. Until my husband and I started to plan for a family, I hadn’t made exercise a priority in my life.
I have been working with a trainer now for the last year. It’s made an incredible difference in how I feel on just a day to day basis. I work in an office, and a really sedentary environment. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job, but I needed to do something to boost my energy levels and improve my health.
I am proud to say that I worked out between three and four times a week over the entire course of my pregnancy. Of course my exercise program has been continually changing to make sure that activities I am performing are safe for the baby. At times I feel lucky that I have had such an easy pregnancy- but I know that it wasn’t really luck…it was the fact that I stuck to my workouts.
The team at Defining Eve has given me so much encouragement! And I still look forward to my weekly sessions with my trainer. The training has been so much fun and I have seen such great results that I can sometimes forget how challenging my workout actually is.
I plan to continue with an exercise program at after my baby is born. Being fit and healthy is important to me and now I want to ensure that I set a good example for my children.
I’m five days away from my due date and I look and feel fantastic!!
