Judy's Success Story

As a registered nurse I know about the health benefits of regular exercise, however, prior to this past year, I had only ever done so in “fits and spurts”. These inconsistent bouts of organized physical activity were most often followed by months of absolutely no exercise. I continued to rationalize that since I worked in an active, “on your feet” type environment of emergency nursing, I got all the exercise I needed at work.

I wanted to improve my health, have more energy, and to feel better; mentally, physically, and emotionally. I knew that regular and consistent exercise would provide me with all of these benefits. I also knew that I needed to initiate regular cardiovascular exercise, and better now than on the cardiac rehab treadmill at the hospital. So on the urging of my youngest son, I called Defining Eve.

I started my program in May of 2006, working with a trainer three times a week for six consecutive months. I have since started working out twice a week on my own, in addition to the one or two scheduled workouts I have with my trainer each week. I love the variety of working with a trainer…no time to be bored with your routine – there’s never a dull moment! I also enjoy the encouragement and positive feedback

I have learned that it is never too late to start a program of fitness and the body responds so well to being challenged. My body and my fitness have improved in so many different ways…I have better muscle tone, more energy, and I have lost over 30 lbs!

This is, hands down, one of the best decisions I have ever made – my stress levels have decreased, I feel and look great, and I know that I will continue this for the rest of my life.
